Anyone visiting The Mulberry Tree will quickly recognise our desire to create an excellent dining experience. We get a buzz from seeing our guests enjoying our food, wine and surroundings and think you will find us the perfect antidote to many anonymous chains. We have created a charming, unstuffy feel with unobtrusive but personal service.
Formally called the Royal and originally built in the early 1800`s, we took over and renovated the downstairs of this imposing building in 2003 with the completion of the bedrooms sometime later in January 2007.
Since opening we have built an enviable reputation for the quality of our food, relaxed dining experience and high standards that we work had to maintain.
Our Head Chef; Haydn Buxton won the EDP Young Chef of the Year Awards in 2001.
In our first year we were thrilled to be FINALIST in the EDP Norfolk Food Awards 2004 in the Best Pub/Restaurant category.
In 2005 we built on this success by WINNING THE AWARD - EDP Norfolk Food Awards 2005 Best Pub/Restaurant.
Our 7 bedrooms are all individually designed with your comfort in mind. All are ensuite, have large televisions, tea and coffee making facilities, luxurious duvets and linen and many little touches which will make your stay a pleasurable one.
So if you are planning a stay in the Breckland area and are looking for boutique style accommodation and great food, The Mulberry Tree is the place to stay.
Breckland has lots to enjoy: the beauty and tranquility of our forests, beaches, market towns and nature reserves, the facilities and history that the City of Norwich offers or the excitement to be enjoyed at local attractions such as Snetterton Racing Circuit, Banham Zoo and Bressingham Steam Museum and Gardens.
We look forward to welcoming you.
